Project Overview

The Stone Flooring project involved transforming a Figma design into a fully functional Shopify store with specialized features for handling both UK and Indian customers. As the client faced challenges with Shopify’s payment gateway in India, we developed a custom checkout solution tailored to the region. We also implemented complex product variation calculations to accommodate stone orders in square meters, ensuring customers in the UK could make precise and accurate purchases. Additionally, a custom application was developed for managing free sample requests, restricting users to 4 free samples before transitioning to paid orders.

Action Plan

Figma Design to Shopify Store Conversion: We initiated the project by converting the client’s Figma design into a responsive and visually appealing Shopify store, maintaining brand integrity throughout.
Custom Checkout System: Given the client’s dual-location setup (UK and India), we implemented two distinct checkout processes. Shopify’s default checkout was retained for UK customers, while a custom checkout using Razorpay was created for Indian customers, ensuring smooth transactions in INR.
Complex Product Variation Calculations: Since the products (stones) are sold in meter square units, we developed a complex calculation system to ensure that customers can select the correct quantity based on their space requirements.
Custom Application for Free Sample Orders: We built a private application that allows customers to order up to 4 free samples. Once the limit is reached, any additional sample requests are charged, enhancing both user experience and profitability for the store.
